Synopsis: When King Louis XIV of France sends a Jesuit mission to Ayuthaya in 1685 to convert the Kingdom of Siam to Catholicism, they get more than they bargained for when they meet Constantine Phaulkon, the scheming Greek mariner who was a favourite of King Narai the Great. Soon, when the Siamese King falls ill, the French find themselves with false hope of colonisation and led into a trap, culminating in the bloody coup of 1688 and a revolution in Siam that closed doors to the West for more than 150 years.
Historical drama set in the 17th Century Royal court of Siam.
